We have a great defensive position in Michigan. We also have Chicago surrounded. I think we could ally with Michigan to help them take back Southern Michigan and we can use that distraction to take Chicago. I don't really see how we hold on to the Texas colony though. Probably would be smart to offer it to LSU in exchange for invading OSU land in Wisconsin and splitting it up.

The move would be to start a bidding war between Michigan and Ohio State for our position in Michigan. Ohio State would definitely overpay for it, so we'd get their New York/New England territory and the DMV at an absolute minimum, maybe a nice swath of Florida too just to lord it over FSU and Miami.

Tough decision whether to auction off South Bend or hold onto it, Michigan could make a compelling offer involving their NJ/PA territory and Miami-Dade county.

You mean Lake Syracuse. That’s why Chicago is so important. The financial power of a major city is necessary for us to build a Navy. We need to defend our lake.
