Finally...some excitement!

Borno i thought that he was a sure RS? I had a feeling that Flash was going to see the field this year. As i posted he is the best play maker that we have recruited since D Mac. I fully expect him to be our starting QB in 13 if not by the end of this season.

Make sense that DM didn't want people to see players and "label them" one way or the other. AB playing RB doesn't mean he'll always be RB from here on but if people saw that there would be clamorings of "why move your best QB prospect to RB?!?!"

Ashton is a competitve, tough kid. You cant reshirt him an keep him on the sideline. Ive been telling you guys that he would be on the field. I didnt say alot, but I knew the staff loved him and thought that he could help give the offense a spark, and he will. Ive heard some of the defensive players dont want to tackle him at times because he is a load.

well things sort of change when the HC says he's working the player out at RB or other positions. Doesn't mean he's burning his redshirt to play QB...

and you had a feeling he'd see the field this year as a RB?

Don't need him to be a QB (Nassib will be fine), but we need a RB/WB. Get Ashton some carries; throw him the ball on occasion.

Red-shirt? Nope.

I said on the field, as a wilcat QB, this past Saturday was the first time I heard about him playing RB

I feel like I used to when climbing the ropes in gym class in junior high.

I highly doubt Marrone is bold enough to have Broyld throw much out of the backfield and basically have a second QB on the field, but if he is that would be a lot of fun to see.

If he let Alec wing it in the Coliseum why wouldn't he let Ashton do it as well?

he has been pretty willing to do halfback and wr passes before

I highly doubt that.
You doubt that he allowed those plays to be run?
I gave you a specific example above.

Bailey put up a duck in the Dome last year as well.

Alec hadn't played QB in a couple of years. Ashton should still be in QB mode.

I'd love to see some plays like that. They don't even need to be super tricky or bombs. Just by putting that option in a defender's mind could help break a play here or there.

look above in the thread. Also I was responding to Milhouse.

And the other day I said I expected Broyld to be used like Tebow was his freshmen year, so I don't actually doubt he might be throwing the ball a little.

I tried to tell you boys. I didnt want to give you all the details, I wanted you guys to have some curiousity
Yes you did...Greatly appreciated!

He's listed at 229 now...I wonder how much weight he can carry without diminishing his athletic abilities? He'd make a sick MLB.

Cam Newton is 6'5, 248. Being built similarly I'd assume Broyld could put on another 10lbs.

Actually my response was to the person who asked if we would see him "under center/in shotgun", which we won't. But I knew about him as an RB, I just couldn't tell anyone.

HB and WR passes aren't as radical as what I'm envisioning when I think of having two QBs on the field.

anyone know the players that did not travel due to injuries other than the ones we altrady knew were out.
