For his success both on and off the field, Syracuse lacrosse senior captain Scott Firman is one of 20 players selected as a Senior CLASS Award Candidate.
The award, which is an acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages athletes to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
The 20 candidates will be narrowed down to 10 finalists later in the season and those names will be on the official ballot. Should Firman make the final-10, it'd be the third-straight season that a member of the Orange was a finalist for the award, following Kevin Rice (2015) and Dylan Donahue (2016).
