First Final Four Team To Reunite

Love seeing this reunion, and will try to catch the ESPN Radio broadcast with Jim Lee.

Jim was my high school freshman algebra math teacher in 1979-80 (I think) at Bishop Grimes. He was there a few years (not sure how long really).

He bought the house that I grew up in.

A couple of years ago, I was in the bar at Nottingham Knolls with my buddy after playing a round. He is talking to a guy who was seated right in front of me who I can't see and don't know. Turns out it was Jim and my buddy didn't bother to introduced us.

The 1974-75 Syracuse men's basketball team, the first Orange squad to advance to the NCAA Final Four, will reconvene for a 50th anniversary celebration on Saturday, February 8, in the JMA Wireless Dome. The group will be honored at halftime of the Syracuse vs. Boston College game.
What a great team!!

maybe instead of a banner or jersey we could hang up some tighty whitey shorts with F4-75 stitched on them.

Great news and well deserved

Jimmy Lee might be like the last player who was a really good free throw shooter, OK that's somewhat of an exaggeration

Rudy was an amazing player for SU and I have always been puzzled why he doesn't get as much respect as some guys,

My favorite all time SU player Chris Sease was on that team he was tremendous defender and had thr best nickname of all time of course being "the rocket man" for his explosive jumping ability.

I haven't looked at that roster in ages but it seems that almost if not everybody was from NY

Maybe because they played before the dome era that maybe they don't get the respect they deserve
Better late than never. My soph year. Stevie Shaw was a couple years ahead of me at SU Law. And yes Rudy should be in the rafters

Go for 5 in ‘75 refered to five straight post season appearances
How quaint. Will we do this again?

Maybe this team will finally get some respect and Rudy’s uniform gets hung from the rafters. That team would smoke this years team just because they played as a team. Can you imagine Ernie and Eddie banging inside! Can you see anyone slowing down Bug Williams or defending Jimmy Lee or Chris Sease. Sease would dunk all over this team. Good luck having Davis guard Rudy. I entered SU in the fall of 1975.

With the 3 point line Jimmy Lee would average 25+ a game.

That's Marty Byrnes seated in the front row on the far right (tan jacket).
Is Roy's son there, his first name escapes me, but I believe he was a reserve on that team.
