I was in Jacksonville for that game. Funny how you remember work trips by Cuse games. Worst one was the DePaul debacle. I was in Atlanta nursing a badly sprained ankle from hooping myself the week before. “Luckily” I was able to watch the game in my room.Seems a lot longer. Huge underdogs. Go into Cameron and win in OT. Might need to rewatch.
No Top 10 wins since then. We have a few Top 25 wins, the highest being West Virginia in the 2021 second round who was ranked #13.Is that the last time we beat a top tier team? Sure feels like it

You mean Duke not Clemson.Seems a lot longer. Huge underdogs. Go into Cameron and win in OT. Might need to rewatch.
I remember watching that DePaul game by myself while on the road for work, as well. Can't remember where I was, but I remember the feeling.I was in Jacksonville for that game. Yeah people think we are Just falling apart this year lol. We haven’t competed with top 10 teams for a long timeNo Top 10 wins since then. We have a few Top 25 wins, the highest being West Virginia in the 2021 second round who was ranked #13.
Didn't say Clemson. Said Cameron. You mean Duke not Clemson.
Lost by 5 and 7 last year to Virginia, they were a top 10 team at the time. Still a loss but far better than this years “effort”Yeah people think we are Just falling apart this year lol. We haven’t competed with top 10 teams for a long time

I watched that game at PJ Dorsey’s and remember at some point I said it and got hammered to numb the pain.I remember watching that DePaul game by myself while on the road for work, as well. Can't remember where I was, but I remember the feeling.
If this isn't a huge dose of reality I don’t know what is. Today's high school recruits were 9 years old when we were relevant. For nine straight years we've gotten no votes for the Top 25 in the final regular season poll. This is looking like #10. The 2016 FF team wound up #10 on the strength of that, (8 years ago). The 2019 Sweet 16 team was #25. The 2021 Sweet 16 team had the most votes of any team not in the top 25. That's it over the last decade. This is who we are now.
From 1973-2014, we finished in the Top 25 30 times in 42 years, 13 times in the Top10. That's who we were then.
Wow thanks for sharing even though it made me sadder lolFor nine straight years we've gotten no votes for the Top 25 in the final regular season poll. This is looking like #10. Yep, that's why I won't watch it.Wow thanks for sharing even though it made me sadder lol
hm yeah and that "effort" the previous 2 years vs Colgate, and that "effort" vs Braynt... are we really gonna point to "effort" in JB's last few years?Lost by 5 and 7 last year to Virginia, they were a top 10 team at the time. Still a loss but far better than this years “effort”
So of course boosters wanted a continuity hire. Makes sense. For nine straight years we've gotten no votes for the Top 25 in the final regular season poll. This is looking like #10.

it's really something how the people indicting Red halfway through his first season (a relatively successful first half) are the same people anointing the football coach as savior before he's coached a game
There's only one word that comes to mind for the reason; "sanctions!"
