I really thought tonight was the opener that the Orange would come out and blow out a weaker opponent. The only positive is that they are not losing as they deserve to be. Hell - they should be down 10.

And once again they sell the locals on coming out, they answer the call and get rewarded with this crap.

So disappointing - even if they win - on so many levels when you get out played, out smarted and out coached by a team you should crush on opening night at home with a decent crowd.

Little energy, terrible offensive play calling (unless you like badly designed and executed bubble screens), etc, etc. Tired of buying in and getting disappointed. Expected it with Marrone - not tonight.

That Robertson was a good QB. Him Armstrong and a couple of their Linebackers were as good as anybody we have. Combine that as it does seem like we have an heir yet in the Arthur/Chandler/Bromley lineage.
Villanova seriously got screwed every 50/50 went against them. They played more than well enough to win.

They missed 2 FGs under 30 yards in a DOME. That never happens then we couldn't score a TD with 3 cracks from the 1 yd line. I am embarrassed we won all we did wad avoid our highlights being national news. Near losses aren't news nowadays with all the 1-AAs that win.

Hunt should not have thrown a punch, but to say the kid did nothing is wrong... He almost took Hunt's helmet off with the chinstrap still buckled. He should have been flagged too.

I have to say Ron Thompson is well on his way. He was living in their backfield. He used speed rushes, power moves and had one absolutely disgusting spin move. It also seemed he was the guy Robertson was running away from and not running by (aka not the guy losing contain every time) most of the time

He was the only guy who looked like he was head and shoulders more athletic and more talented than the FCS team we were playing against.

nova performed just as predicted they would anyone that knows their history is one of always competitive and tough---what i did not expect was an unprepared orangemen team. although as i said in a previous post that i hoped we were not going to be complacent---this team was not prepared well for this game---and it showed
