What have the highs been? Losing by 10 to a half-asleep LSU team?


This team hasn't really accomplished anything other than beating the worst ACC team and Rhode Island. They won't be favored in any of the remaining games and will be lucky to get four wins against FBS teams.

Sorry, but that's SU football indefinitely.

I think what will be proven out as the season goes on is that USF is much better than their record shows. Just like in the past when the whiners and hand wringers come out of the woodwork, a lot of losses to perceived bad teams end up being losses to "not as bad as we thought" teams.
That being said, I thought the O and D game plans were not great and the team did not look energized. A bit flat, IMO.

If Whitner doesn't commit that silly late hit, we're only 7 down with 10:00 left.

Which means we could have tied it up.

As bad as the defense was today, we were still in it. Whitner's penalty, and Dungey's INT (plus 30 more penalty yards) caused the wheels to come off.

The numbers were horribly tilted in USF's favor, but we were a score and a stop away from being in position to win.

You left out Brisly at the end of 1st half not fair catching the punt, which cost us 3 points. Even the play by play Guy felt he was responsible, not Whitner.
