I dont think Ryan Sloan would have been there if there was bad blood between him and the staff

The evening was very enjoyable and emblematic of Coach Shafer's style and passion for Syracuse Football.
The way this staff cares for the players as people also came through loud and clear. Much evidence, in testimonials by both players and coaches, of strong bonds between players and coaches and the same between players.
Unfortunately Tim Lester was not present due to a 103 fever, according to HCSS'
The keynote speaker, Cliff Ensley a former walk on, in football, lacrosse & wrestling who was an Engineering major. Ensley is
Founder and CEO of Leisure Merchandising Corp. His brie comments were humerus and and inspirational. We are so fortunate to have Cliff in our Cuse football family.

Cam Lynch won the Player of the year award and received a standing ovation when presented. Not only a player of high cailber; also an individual of even higher caliber!

Great Syracuse football celebration and tribute to our Seniors! Spoke volumes to HCSS Next Man Up approach! All in all a very enjoyable evening with a good meal and interesting dinner companions.

Was held last night at Manley.

It was well done.

Cliff Ensley was the guest speaker. He talked about his three-sport career at SU - he was a walk on in 1965 - and described the joy of beating No. 3 UCLA in LA back in 1967 and beating them again at Archbold in 1968.

He encouraged the players to cherish their time on the Hill and observed that one learns far more from adversity than victory.

Sam Rodgers, Cam Lynch, Riley Dixon, Crume/Welsh/Robinson, PTG and Sean Hickey were honored.

Shafer spoke well - talked about each senior - clearly loves the players.

The only administrators not specifically mentioned were Renee Baumgartner and Floyd Little - perhaps they were not present.

It was a solid event.
