For anyone looking to pick up Duke tickets today

It's pretty crappy people buy these tickets and immediately put them on Stubhub to make a profit. I have been refreshing stub hub all morning and the amount of tickets on the site keep increasing. I'm sure season some season ticket holders who didn't want the court moved are the ones doing this to.

I am sure some of those tix are from folks that already purchased them over and above their season tix. Those folks should have their season tix revoked if there was a way for SU to find out who is doing it. But, some of those tix on stubhub are the actual season tix that people paid for. I think they have a right to do what they want with them.

That is me. I live in NYC so I don't have season tickets. Was planning on going to maybe 2 games in the dome this year. After seeing the above posts and just imagining what the prices will be like on stubhub, looks like i'll be watching this one from my apartment.

I dont blame you, I am a local and I will be watching from my living room in my house. I love going to all types of Syracuse games and have season for football and basketball but I sure as hell want to be able to watch this game and see the action, there is no way im spending that type of money to basically watch the game from either the quad or the fine lot. For football there really isnt a bad seat in the dome, for bball there are a lot of bad seats.

I think you meant football and lax.

I wonder if they will open up a block of tickets for alumni at 3pm. I'll let you guys know. I agree it's a lot of money for basically bad seats.

I get what you are saying bees, but I don't think these are peoples actual season tickets. They are in the 300 levels close to the former curtain or the other side of it.

I haven't looked today but if that is where they are, then they are most likely not season tixs. I'll hVe to look at the sections because some might be.

And this is exactly why I bought my own season ticket this year, section 305 row D. Total cost $491 which averages to about $27 a game. Best money I've spent in forever

So I have been patiently waiting for Wednesday's single ticket sales to begin and this thread is depressing. I don't get up there for many games and really want to be a part of this one.

What is this about alumni tickets? Where can I find these at 3pm today?

Any other options? I am not paying crazy stub-hub prices though!

So should we assume that there will not be that large a duke presence in the stands? Or will they be the ones paying out their ass for stubhub tickets?

They may have reserved some seats for sale to the public tomorrow. I would actually bet that they did, they must know the game will sell out regardless

Just did a quick look see and sorted by section. Most of them, but far from all, are season tixs. Especially the ones that are very expensive. The ones that aren't seasons fall pretty much in the $75-150 range. People selling their own season tixs appear to be asking $150-$9,999. Yikes.

I blame SU for this. By allowing season ticket holders to buy up to 8 single game tickets for the Duke game, they are encouraging scalping (albeit legal) on Stubhub - same thing happened last year for the Georgetown game. How many season ticket holders really need to buy that many?! They should have put a cap on it at 2 or something like that.

If you are an alumni and keep your contact information up to date with the Alumni Office you should of received an email yesterday with a link directly to ticketmaster. That link will only work through the email they have on file.

I got mine, I will try at 3pm to see what's available

I am a season ticketholder ('C' Preferred) and appreciate that I had the ability to purchase a number of extra tickets to individual games. We do not buy seasons for our kids yet as we just bring them to day/weekend games so the presale enables me to get decent seats for them, my brother and his kids, etc. 8 is a fair limit. It is a benefit of being a season ticketholder and I do not begrudge anyone from selling any of their tickets on the secondary market.

Going into last week my plan was to buy the family packs (2 ADULT + 2 YOUTH) for the Duke, UNC, Pitt, NC ST, Nova, Miami, and Clemson games.

Last Monday I called up to the box office asked if there was going to be a season ticketholder pre-sale as in previous years. They guy told me 'probably' and that it might be on Monday or Tuesday of this week.

Didn't leave me with much confidence, and since I was heading away for long holiday weekend I wanted to make sure I was covered for the Duke game.

So last week I purchased 8 of the $160 six packs when they went on sale (3 for friend, 3 for my kids at adult prices, 2 extra) to cover myself for the Duke game (also got Pitt and NC St plus three scrub games). Got decent upper level seats court side low rows.

After I bought those the email came on Friday morning announcing today's presale. Figured great I'll grab the family packs for the remaining games (especially UNC) today.

Logged in today for the pre-sale. No family packs in MyCuse account. Call the box office. Busy signal all morning. Checked single games and only seats available for UNC. Got work to do, meetings, etc so finally just got back around to calling the box office. She tells me family packs are only available in person or over the phone (that isn't what their email said) and that Duke and UNC packs are sold out.

So, I'm going to put the Duke tickets I bought up on StubHub tonight (they came in the mail today) to cover the $$ I'm going to have to pay to buy some UNC tickets on StubHub...another wonderful experience with the Carrier Dome box office...

alumni tix - section 334. yeah, it's going to be horrible watching from 8 miles out but I had to go to the first ever SU/Duke ACC game. Not going was never an option. Now to work on SU/UNC at the Dean Dome...

Given that there's nothing available in Sections 301-303 for Duke on StubHub, I'd bet they're only making those available for tomorrow's sale.

i was trying to do the alumni presale. i actually hit for 2 in 113 and 114 but i refreshed to see if i could get something more in front of the court. when i did, the next available were 322 and 335. how i wish i could go back in time. i am CRUSHED
