Phil Mickelson is wearing an orange shirt "for Arnie" because it was Arnold Palmer's favorite color to compete in. They said Arnie was back home watching the tournament after being at the ceremonial tee-off on Thursday.
It's one of several vague references I've heard in recent weeks that perhaps something is happening with 85 year old Arnie that there's more than the usual need to honor him now, including that extensive Golf Channel retrospective a couple of weeks back.
