Welcome to Book Lover's Day!
Book Lovers Day encourages you to find a place in the shade to relax with a good book.
Book reading is a great hobby. It's an important one, too. Employers look for it on resumes. Reading is educational, informative, and relaxing. It makes us both smarter, and happier people.
Book Lovers Day is a great day to celebrate. Just grab an interesting book, find a quiet, cozy place, and crack open the cover. Celebrating Book Lovers Day in August is pleasurable on the deck, under a shady tree, poolside, or in a cozy hammock. If you fall asleep while reading, that's okay. It's all part of the relaxing benefits of being a book lover.

Syracuse-Wisconsin basketball game will be played on ESPN in prime-time slot (PS; Carlson)
The game between powerhouse basketball programs Syracuse and Wisconsin will receive plenty of national spotlight from ESPN next season.
The cable network announced Monday that the game, previously scheduled for Nov. 29 at Wisconsin, will be broadcast on ESPN and tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
The appearance puts Syracuse among a select group of schools being broadcast on ESPN's marquee station during the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. The Orange and the Badgers join Duke, North Carolina, Louisville, Indiana, Purdue and Michigan State on ESPN.
Wisconsin beat Syracuse 66-58 in overtime last year in the last game before head coach Jim Boeheim's nine-game suspension.

Rio 2016: US's Lilly King beats Russian in Olympic swimming showdown (PS; AP)
After all the bad blood, all the debate over Yulia Efimova being allowed to swim at the Olympics, Lilly King was the one wearing gold.
The American won the 100-meter breaststroke on Monday night, holding off the reigning world champion from Russia in what some will surely call a victory of clean athletes over the dopers.
Efimova arrived in Rio as one of the symbols of the massive Russian doping scandal, an athlete who had already served a 16-month suspension and tested positive again this year for the now-banned substance meldonium.
