NBCSN's Brian Engblom, 60, Shakes Off Puck to Face During Penquins-Sharks Telecast (AP)
NBC Sports Network analyst Brian Engblom needed stitches after taking a puck to his forehead late in the second period of the Pittsburgh Penguins' 3-2 shootout victory over the San Jose Sharks on Sunday night.
He did win a bit of praise, though, from Penguins star Sidney Crosby, who tipped Brenden Dillon's outlet pass over the glass with 1:42 left in the period.
The puck deflected right at Engblom, who was broadcasting from the ice-level area between the teams' benches at CONSOL Energy Center.
"I felt bad," a smiling Crosby said during a postgame interview with Engblom. "You were back out there pretty quick. I give you credit for getting back out here."

A Penguins trainer quickly examined Engblom, a former NHL player, and put a towel up to his head before taking him to the locker room for stitches. The 60-year-old Engblom returned to his analyst duties for the third period -- sporting a big gash across his forehead.

Coney Island visitors were in for more chills than thrills on Sunday when the famed Cyclone roller coaster broke down just before its first drop.
Fox News reports the Luna Park wooden ride stalled during its first run of the season. Witnesses snapped photos and video of the passengers exiting the cars and walking down the tracks.
