Former G league player eligible to play college basketball

NCAA grants former G League player eligibility

This is wild. Next we'll have former NBA players returning to play college basketball.

Yeah there has to be some limits applied because this could be a disaster if they don’t address it.

This kid never played at the college level right? In such cases I can see that but if they play college then go pro that can’t be allowed as far as coming back.

This is interesting. I guess if you put an age restriction on it then its no different then playing at another school and transferring. Frankly, most the good players make more in college than the g-league now-a-days so its not like they're getting some edge.

I don't believe he ever played college ball prior to playing in the g league.

The idea of being able to play college ball after playing pro if player didn't play college prior to going pro is a slippery slope (especially if the NBA goes back to allowing kids to go straight to the NBA out of high school). In this scenario, Lebron would be allowed to play college ball.

Which is why you have to sort out some limits if you do allow even that scenario.

Agree. It just seems that the limits just keep getting stretched/changed year by year. Pretty soon there will be no rules in place.
