Former Syracuse Players Round Up

The one that sticks out to me is Denaburg. Do we even have a kicker who can make a kick over 25 yds?
This is kind of funny considering Denaburg got benched here essentially for missing a 25-yard field goal. He literally made as many field goals this week than he did all of last season, with a longer kick than anything he made last year too.

So his former ST coach is there, so perhaps some small adjustments and mindset was reset by someone he had a strong relationship with was all he needed? You see that happen all the time across different sports. Good for him. His booming kickoffs made things easier while here.

I get we could have used some of these please but please look at the opponent, I mean SE Louisiana I'm pretty sure I could have got a tackle or two in the game...

There is a reason why ALOT of these players sat here and yes of course we did lose some good players but let's not throw away what we have.
Maybe and then out for the year

Just to play devil's advocate, do you think anyone on our roster is going to put similar numbers in our game against Colgate?

Just to play devil’s advocate back atcha -

Didn’t KJE have 3 sacks against Holy Cross last year?

Looked like he could be a great
rush DE for us….

So yes - it’s entirely possible some random 2/3’rd stringer will have what looks like a standout game vs Colgate,
and yet, it won’t actually mean anything as to their overall career or impact as a player.

Every word you typed is true, but kind of besides the point. Mason had a good game and I bet if we watched the film, it would have been more impactful than KJE's outing, hence the conference player of the week honors. It doesn't really matter, but the kneejerk reaction some have to minimize his accomplishment is weird.

And I'd bet cash $$$ that none of our starters are going to put up the same numbers against Colgate. But I'll be super happy if someone like Reese or Omopariola prove me wrong. (Please prove me wrong!)

Jaeden Gould had a solo tackle for UCF last week.
Mekhi Mason has 11 tackles and a sack against LSU last week (for the people belittling his week 1 production and opponent)

I wouldn't say disparage but definitely I was skeptical. Good for him glad he's excelling!

Juwaun Price had one carry for three yards (UMass)

Muwaffaq Parkman has no stats for Robert Morris. I couldn’t find Ike Daniels on the Towson roster.

Was just about to add Leon. Saw him in Raleigh after the game and said go Cuse before dapping him up.
Examples of "Dapping"
    • A complex handshake that includes finger locks and thumb over the other's thumb.
    • A sequence of hand and elbow movements, or a combination of fist bumps and finger snaps.
    • A "chest bump" with a finger gun finish, as shown in YouTube.

I admit, I had to look it up (middle aged white dude that I am). Which option did you go with? Please tell me whatever you went with involved finger guns.

Sorry to disappoint but i didn’t go Shooter McGavin with him. When I said I was a Cuse guy he smiled and then a double fist bump

Three catches for negative 5 yards is hella impressive
