And when that happens Mullen watch will be back on.
The return of “The thread of all threads”
And when that happens Mullen watch will be back on.
Mullen is your long term solution? A guy who isn’t interested in coaching right now? Good one.The long-term solution was Mullen.
Mac coached SU for 10 years. Not sure what point you're trying to make.
yeah, but other than thatHe makes $900k, from Georgia, wife is from Georgia, played at Georgia, has coached and lived in the South his entire life, and son is a walk-on QB at Georgia. He's not coming to Syracuse.
I was told Bronco Mendanhall. Others have said Mullen, Chesney, Coen, Candle, Brown(obviously).OK...
Who has the inside juice on who was officially interviewed??
OK...

May I join on the Franwagon? So anyway, I know some other people are willing to drive the Fran Brown Bandwagon Party Bus Train with me, but I can't remember.
Roll call, who's co-piloting this bad boy with me again?
See the “Wildhack rolled the dice” thread.AND - we’re still waiting for Jake to dish about who the nightmare potential hire was.
Relying on #44 is moving backwards. Can we unretire #44 now and move forward?
2 things…First, I’d like this to officially be Fransville. Need that on a shirt (not shirt world) ASAP.
Second. How do we get Sam Elliott to voice over our 2024 hype video?
My #1 was Mullen by a wide margin but if he doesn't want to coach then there's not much you can do with that.Mullen is your long term solution? A guy who isn’t interested in coaching right now? Good one.
And the point I was trying to make is that SU made a pretty decent change of command when Mac left. I don’t care how long it took, but he left for greener pastures and we somehow kept the straight and narrow. Could Brown do better, quicker….absolutely but nobody knows for sure….except maybe you.
I have no problems with being a stepping stone program. It means we were successful. Look what Boise St. did for years, turn over coaches and win with each one. Our failure was Shafer after Marrone made us respectable and competitive. If he turns around the SU program in four years and is offered and accepts an SEC head coaching job, I have no problem with that. Just like when Dino was going to turn around the SU program and then leave for USC. If he brings SU back to a place where the program is nationally relevant again, it’s a success.
I believe SUDadx2 mentioned that as a possibility earlier.Maybe Fran calls Jeff Nixon from his Baylor days to see if he wants to get back into college as an OC…..
How about Beck, He had a ton to do getting an injury crippled team bowl eligible.Welcome to the Hill Coach Brown.
Brown will be gone in 3-4 years, either because he was fired or snatched up by another program. If it’s the latter, there might be enough talent left over for another successful season or two. Bottom line, we’ll be here again before you know it.
He’s a short-term solution to a long-term problem.
Who would win in a fight??I feel Sam Elliott and bourbon will now be around forever on Syracusefan.com and will be a rallying point. I don't think flight trackers have legs though.
Ahh I missed that. I saw Glenn Thomas was mentioned but missed Nixon.
Have we ever seen them in the same room at the same time? No we have not.Who would win in a fight??
Sam Elliott or John Syracuse?
