Fran Brown wants to make Syracuse football into a contender

He’s super competitive. I’ve heard him talk about Penn State and Rutgers specifically. He obviously doesn’t hate them the way we do but he wants to win and has those programs circled. But he’s also not going to bash them or GS publicly. You get intel out of the coaching circle you’re close to as well.
We don’t play them but of course he has those teams circled. Not sure if he hates them but he knows the bulk of our key recruits are looking at those teams in comparison to us. Winning the perception battle over those teams is huge.

GT is going to be a very tough game. Glad we have them early and at home.
Haynes King and pretty much the entire GT offense is back. They took Georgia on last year and played them pretty much even. Came close to making the ACC championship game and have added some serious talent on D to go with what will be a top 20 Offense maybe top 10.
They are loaded. I think getting them early is a break as they won't have a book on us. Still I see this as our toughest home game.

our best hope is GTech piling up the owies coming out of their game with FSU. Maybe king will need to sit out. That will be a very interesting preview.

nobody will remember how we get the runs. Just win baby.

"Our best hope" is Tech coming in injured? Really?

Let's chill with the Georgia Tech hype. They got spanked by both Boston College and Bowling Green(!!) at home last year. We almost beat them on the road last year running a JV offense with no QB and locker room with half the players thinking about where they wanted to transfer the next season. They played a decent game against UGA in the season finale when Georgia was sleepwalking gearing up for the Bama in the SEC championship. Their best win against Miami was only possible because Miami made probably the biggest coaching blunder in CFB history and ran the ball with 20 seconds left for absolutely no reason. Are they capable of beating us? Definitely. Should they? IMHO no ***ing way.

I agree. They will be a good team and a tough test, but at home I like our chances. It was a 2 point game with 7 minutes left last year and we had a gimmick O ran by a TE. One bada$$ TE btw!!

Tech is coming in with a veteran offense and coaching stability. Our coaches will still be figuring things out on the fly... there's a much steeper learning curve for a first year coach. And it's a nooner so student section will be half empty until the 2nd quarter. I would much rather have had the cupcakes early. So I'll gladly take any advantage we can get, thank you. Maybe we can pay King some leftover NIL from the basketball fund to have him sit out the game.
