“We played complimentary football…We found a kicker… it was the first time we played complimentary football against a good team,” Coach Brown says.

“I was scared to death to throw to #3 (Nohl Williams)… we challenged our offensive line this week,” Coach Brown says about his team’s offensive approach.

On his team’s ability to contain Cal QB Fernando Mendoza, Coach Brown says he was thankful for the blitzing. He added that Mendoza has a “quick trigger” and respects him a lot.

“If I set the standard of excellence, then we can be great…. I want to win the right now, I want to build the program the right way,” Coach Brown says. He added that three (3!) DBs were in line to start but did not because of what they did or didn’t do in practice this week.

Kyle McCord is a top 5 quarterback in the country,” Coach Brown says, acknowledging that he might be biased. Then he played “100 Grand” on his way out.

QB Kyle McCord is at the podium now.He said that one of the guys gave Coach Brown an Old Spice bottle given his comments on Monday.

DB Davien Kerr is also at the podium. “I didn’t play DB my whole life, I played receiver,” he says. Kerr says that on his interception, his sideline yelled “ball” which made him turn around.

LB Marlowe Wax is at the podium. Last week’s film “left a nasty taste in our mouth,” Wax says. “We can still be better,” he added.

TE Oronde Gadsden is at the podium. Gadsden reveals that it was RB Yasin Willis that gave Coach Brown the bottle of Old Spice after the game. Gadsden says that Coach Brown in practice this week would stop everything and make the 1st team offense play the 1st team defense from the 25, and that’s why the offense clicked from the start today.

They both played, but didn't start.
Right. Fran said "didn't start." Common way to send a message to a starter. You mess up, you don't start, but still will come into the game. Sounds like one guy didn't play. I see your point now that I type this up. They weren't the guy he talked about.

Tough to know who was injured and who was just a DNP-Coaches Decision.

Maybe he'll say something Monday.

I'm fine with it

Portal giveth and portal taketh

We don't have sure fire NFL talent in the secondary so I won't sweat it, especially from a position group the coach made his bones with
