Well, if you want to destroy your Internet presence and alienate your fan base, this is the way to go.

I understand charging if you want to show closed scrimmages or provide access to professionally done behind the scenes documentaries. But charging for routine coverage of,the team?

What are they thinking?

luckily it’s available on accnx, idk if maybe the school would have to pay them to stream it for free? I always preferred the cuse.com stream better

I wonder if it's a conference requirement, especially with ESPN launching its own standalone streaming platforms.

If it's a moneygrab by the school, it's not a bright one -- it's not going to move the needle. We need to build the brand and get more eyeballs on games. That's all that matters. Watch every game, even if you're not in person.

Does this mean they won't be posting post-game press conferences or anything else on YouTube any more? If so, why do they have the YouTube logo still at the top of the page? Didn't they used to charge for this stuff a number of years ago?

I guess they're no longer interested in growing the brand.

Doesn't mean anything yet.

It will be on YouTube by the end of the day anyway. I’m not THAT desperate for content

I'd be surprised if it's not free. Maybe something with trying to access content a few hours before it begins.

Yeah, that would make sense if it's required by ESPN.

I do know that university is looking under every stone for revenue streams. Not sure if this has been posted yet, but, as an example, they will extend beer/alcohol sales to the end of the 3rd quarter - but only at limited stands.

following what MLB did, too. They let venues quietly extend sales later and later.
