"I wanted to figure out everybody's thoughts on who we are and where we're at right now." Coach Brown on what he focused on during the bye week.

"Last year, I was able to bring in a lot of strong senior leadership." Coach Brown outlined why SU succeeded the way it did last season. Brown highlights how this year's team is younger and going through a development stage.

Fran Brown says coordinators Jeff Nixon and Elijah Robinson “will both be back next year.”

"He's just fast. He can hit it from zero to sixty really, really fast."Coach Brown on Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love.

Fran Brown says Joe Filardi will start this week against Notre Dame. He says Luke Carney may play as well. He added they'll make a decision on the start against Boston College down the line. Still trying to redshirt Carney.

"I just think they're doing a good job. I think the coaches are working well together." Coach Brown on how his coaching staff has operated since the staff changes he made a few weeks ago.

"There's not a football game you can watch - maybe one, I'm not sure - where we didn't compete our butt off." Coach Brown on why incoming high school recruits have stayed committed to Syracuse this year despite the current team's struggles.

Brown said he thinks Steve Angeli will be the best quarterback in the country heading into next season.
