Brown said he's excited to represent the ACC and the University at the Holiday Bowl.

“I’m thankful for our fans…”

Brown says placing No. 21 in the CFP rankings fell short of his goals, but he is excited for the opportunity to potentially finish with 10 wins.

"We're going to have some players go in the portal, some by choice, some by handshake."

Fran Brown on players who don't go about entering the portal the right way (meaning, telling the coaches up front): "To me you're a snake, and I don't want to be around a snake. And what do you do with a snake? Cut it off at the head."

When asked about Jakhari Williams, Brown says, "Kyle McCord is our quarterback."

Brown won't detail if anyone has opted out and indicates he wants everyone to play. "We don't opt out around here. We play football."

Fran Brown says he has not spoken to former Texas A&M quarterback Conner Weigman, who is in the transfer portal.

"I'm looking for a winner," Brown on trying to replace McCord.

“There’s a lot of guys that’s going to be leaving. There’s some linemen about to be leaving. It’s about the S. If you don’t fit our culture, then you shouldn’t stay here.”

“We’re going to do what’s best for the S.”

Fran Brown on his relationship with Dabo Swinney: “He’s a good dude… They took full advantage of their opportunity… It’s good to be able to call a guy that’s won a bunch of championships…”
