A few months ago I thought he was a lock to come to Denver. Him and Abraham thought they could command around 8 mil/per. So after meeting with Denver he held out, thinking he'd get more than what Denver was willing to give. Market value wasn't what everyone at first thought, now he winds up signing for around the same as Denver would've given him. When asked last week about it, Elway said something to the effect of, He should've taken our offer, we tried to tell him it was where the market was. Sucks having to root against him, especially him going to SD.
