friday noon is perfect start time for fans

The Thursday nooner is the absolute worst...No energy, no crowd, nobody really watching yet...and if you lose, you're the first team out before the Tourney gets hot.

I think the Oklahoma State game in 1999 was in that slot...Can't remember too many others. Was Southern Illinois in 1995 or Iona in 1998? I remember watching/listening to those at school.

1995 and 1998 1st round games were Friday Nooners.
