And so apparently is ESPN when they chose to freeze on the sign for 3 seconds.

Do we really need to be so sensitive about "3 seconds?" How many hours of news coverage have been devoted to Penn State and Jerry Sandusky? Immature people make signs. So what. Weren't there signs and comments about UConn? How much mud did we sling re: "laptopgate" and "UConvicts?" I'm not sure what was expected here. Grace? Frankly, i'm surprised there hasn't been more of this.

Frankly, I'm impressed that you all found St John's fans.

There were none in my section. And I encountered fewer than 20 on the afternoon.

This wasn't exactly walking into a lion's den...and no Penn State reference intended there.

Fans will do what they do, not much you can do about that.
The point was simply asking why ESPN felt the need to show this sign. Personally, I'm only sensitive to the fact they wanted to continue to promote their Fine story at the expense of the game.

I think there is also something to be said for the difference between the wrongs a PLAYER did and the wrongs a FIRED COACH did. Most of the "mud" that I recall being slung was slung at AJ Price while he remained on the team. But maybe that's just me...
