I feel this will finally be the last season that lack of depth will be an issue , we will have a strong nucleus of returning players for next year with a promising recruiting class for 2021 that still has a very good chance to get even better , I am tired of having a few injured players every year that puts us in a position to lose games due to lack of depth I remember when coach ( MAC ) turned our program around we were a solid 2 deep at every position I hope we can be in this position in the very near future , winning sets the tone along with putting some of our players in the NFL our facilities are as good as they have ever been and Dino is a very good mentor who really cares about his player and their academics , I think the future looks bright ( orange ) of course.

We didn't think we had any depth at RB and then up pops Tucker. Very nice surprise.
Of course who's the depth behind him now - as an every down back?
I was fascinated Black and Bear were in for blocking on Tucker's goal line plunge (Tank Package?). It reminded me of very old school one platoon football.

Yeah cause it looked like they did a great job of pulling from left to right and built a beautiful wall.

I'm concerned about DL but that's about it. Not sure if guys like Tuazama, Munoz, Dawson, Lemieux will be ready for major minutes next year. Would be great to have any of the current Seniors back for next year.

I think in this defense and I know some coaches on here talk about the not as a 285 lb guy but in my mind u need a guy like Arthur Jones or Slayton in middle. A guy who takes two blockers and still makes play. Yes we are in an actual 4-2-5 most times but still need one big a s s mofo to clog that inside up so backers kill all.

I would like to see us bring in a player that fits this criteria bye way of a JUCO or a portal transfer I no that Harper and Rondi return at that position and a couple of true freshman will fight for some PT , and I really do not expect Bear or Black to return for a sixth year via covid exemption I hope the coaches are really looking at this as an option.

Good point and yes, we do need a biggin on the inside to eat up some blocks as this D morphs into that 4-2 or even 5-3 at times. Missing is that big boy pivot in the middle allowing the outside talent to run to the ball. We are struggling vs the run and this would help.

Love the depth at LB and DB. Scared of the depth (or lack thereof) at QB and OL. Unless our starting DL come back, particularly Mckinley in the middle, really need to hit on some of the DL in this next class.

Yup, we need bear to come back + another beast in the middle with some DE talent emerging. The backers and secondary is the best in 10+ years. Regarding the OL, we, and qb situation; its scary. People blame the OL situation on injuries but its deeper than that and at the moment we most likely have no starters behind TD. As for the wrs, well, its also thin, which is astounding in the dino era.

Wide Receivers are thin?

Harris
Queeley
J Barron
E Hendrix
S Johnson
C Jackson
J Williams
D Alford
T Pena

2021 Commits:
K Long
U Hatcher
O Gadsden

And not sure who comes back from this group:
N Johnson
C Jordan
RTB

This group does not look "thin"

CJordan is no longer on the team.

I never considered Nykiem coming back but that would be great if he did. I want to see CJack get more run but Nykiem is the best return man we've had since Brisley.

Really love Nykiem as a return man. Are we getting to the point where former starters begin to find their way into being specialists or used more in special packages (hopefully being drawn up during this bye week) - hello JJ?

I don’t know if he is making plays but they ain’t moving him.
Doesn't matter how much you weigh, if you can't fire out and stay low, you WILL get moved. It's pretty safe to assume that he can't get off the ball well enough given all we've heard.
