That last link is scathing.
A.) it's true - the SEC is using it's lack of a ninth game and it's perception of strength to game the new playoff system.
B.) ESPN probably lost a lot of money without a 9th conference game? They usually are "yes" men with the SEC. I hope we start to see more opinion pieces like this.

As long as people think "They play an SEC schedule" the SEC will be getting away with this for a while. ESPN won't call them out on it.

That NC State articles says LSU had a home and home with NC State that was dropped by LSU. SU in effect replaced NC State on their schedule in 2017, though the return game was moved from 2020 for NC State to 2015 for Syracuse. Anyone know why?
