I’d be worried about fit here. He’s a postive defense player and slightly positive offensive player but he doesn’t shoot the 3 ball well and we really need a 3 that does just that. If we’re taking a player from Robert Morris give me their 6’9 sophomore PF/c Alvaro Folgueiras of Spain. Horizon league player of the year. 14ppg, 9rb, 3.2a, 1.2 blocks. 41% from 3 on 3 attempts a game. Those are pretty damn good numbers from evanmiya as well. Unfortunately rumors are Kentucky but god I’d love this kid.

i feel you...but I will always feel icky about persuing other teams rosters for the players we need...just as I hate when a team like Duke steals our guys...and esp when their fans specualte on players that havent even entered the portal

I get it. Definitely is not a perfect fit. But the number of forwards that can bring the defensive activity and attitude that we desperately need and also provide knockdown shooting is going to be extremely small and be extremely competitive. We're going to have to compromise in some areas and grabbing a forward that can come off the bench and provide that sort of defense is good enough for me.

I’d be happy with those 3. Kyle as a back up center to Ballard. Then give me a starting small forward that can shoot and I’d be happy with that portal haul.

That’s a tournament team with Starling, Freeman and the freshman coming in. Idk how realistic Kingz is as he would be the first guard off the bench. I’m assuming he wants a starting role. But he’d be a hell of a sixth man. Or we could roll with a 3 guard line up as Kingz is 6-5, Starling is 6-4 and Claude is 6-6. Kingz is a good shooter as well. I think that’s possible. Either way if Claude, Kingz, Ballard and Kyle are 4 of our portal pick ups. Then get me a good shooter at the 3. I’m very happy with that and they would be good adds to what we already have.

So get the concerns but we are still in March and nothing has happened yet and no visits have been scheduled. Fast forward to the end of June if we don't have any sharp shooters on the team then I totally would get the concerns. No sense worrying at this stage.

Well wait until you see Sadiq next year. And I’d say Freeman is pretty athletic and can definitely get up there too lol. But Sadiq is Jerami Grant level athletic. Their games are very comparable. Next year has the potential to be our biggest, lengthiest, most athletic team we’ve had in awhile. Complete 180 from last year. At least with the 6 we got so far and who we are interested in so far

I'd be very hesitant due to size/frame and inability to shoot. BUT I'm starting to come around on the idea that we need more athleticism and a forward that has some proven ability, especially defensively. We have no clue if White will be able to contribute much right away, so having someone like this alongside Donnie would be great.

and anotherBUUUTTTT, we still will need a wing with shooting ability and it'd be an absolute must. We need shooting desperately.
