I actually just texted Alex's Dad to get some more information on his move to Spire. Last time I texted with him, he said that things were a little quiet between Syracuse and Alex, but that Alex was interested in visiting SU a second time and remained in the mix. Right before the recent live period, another source of mine (sorry, can't name names on this one) said Syracuse was recruiting Alex "somewhat." I'm not saying Syracuse is out of it for Alex, but I wouldn't call Syracuse the front-runner for him, either.

From what I recall, someone on the board stated that his dad and Red are old friends. Perhaps Constanza’s team is still interested but waiting to see if Red will be around after this season, and to see if there’s improvement in Red’s coaching and the team’s trajectory.

Appreciate you, my friend. I think that's accurate. I don't think that SU is completely stopping its pursuit of Alex, but the staff has offered some other 2026s more recently, too. Not sure how much the Orange is pressing for Toure. Ron Ron is definitely a priority, along with Jordan Smith Jr. Vaughn Karvala is one to watch, too!

I hear you, although why is that embarrassing? The staff re-evaluated things and went in different directions. Whether or not that was the right move remains to be seen, but it's clear that Syracuse coaches are focused more on the current roster and the portal than prep recruiting...
