Game 10 Depth Chart / Game Notes / Injury Updates | Miami

I'm not so sure you are right. He had 13-14 TD to INT ration. Was only 3-5 vs. the Big East.
You think that guy can win 7 games this year? I'm interested to see who you feel Paulus could guide us to a victory?
This offense with the receivers would have been great for Tommy.

I hope we see a different Rickie with offensive play calls that plays to his strengths.

Fran Brown has named redshirt sophomore Rickie Collins as Syracuse’s starting quarterback for Saturday’s game at No. 18 Miami.

Collins will have a new left tackle this week with redshirt freshman Kam Pringle replacing redshirt sophomore Trevion Mack, Brown said.

Pringle will have freshman Byron Washington next to him at guard. Redshirt senior Da’Metrius Weatherspoon is set to start at right tackle while redshirt junior Joe Cruz will start at either center or right guard.

This is the first time in my SU history I might miss a game when I could watch it. And I’ve sat through Grob - HCDB. Coaching and QB play is a joke right now. We’re literally one of the worst D1 teams in the country because we lost our QB. Just not worth wasting so much of my life to continually watch a team not be able to put a QB on the field that can complete enough passes in one series, at any point during the game, to have a chance to even score a TD. Pathetic.

I bet Rickie has a better game than anyone expects.
All the pressure is off, he caught his breath not playing last week, hopefully he improved the last 2 weeks, teammates should be relieved to have him back and I think Nixon will give him a tailored game plan.
I don’t know, I don’t think you can fix what is broken with him. Namely, not seeing the field and being horribly inaccurate

I seem to recall that Paulus finished the season strong - and was voted team MVP

All I’m saying is Rickie played his best football in the 2nd half vs Tech :
14/23 for 200 yards & a TD

1st Half was just 3/6 for 24 yards but he threw Zero picks in entire game. That's notable progress.

I thought he looked good in last half so I’m hoping he can take another step forward.

It is strange that after going to Carney last week they went back to Filardi vs going back to Collins.

Yes he did have some strong games to end the season and I enjoyed watching him play.
I was not doubting what he did for the team that year.
My question to the OP was what games would he win with this schedule.

He beat a ranked Rutgers.

I’ve been thinking which past, under preforming QB, in Syracuse history, that if inserted into this offense, would be an upgrade over what we currently have…

I’d take Aj Long… He’d had a very hard time seeing over Byron Washington but I think he’d be a lot better than what we have now.

Just a fun thought exercise to put in perspective how wildly bad that room is.
I would go with Billy Sharr. He was a bad fit for the O we were running at the time, imo.

Was thinking that too. Always an odd fit. Just pretty interesting that Todd Philcox got us to 10-2 and Billy could not even do that. And Philcox was no more mobile...
Philcox was a 5th year Sr., in the program for 4 years before starting, no?
