McDonald is a great kid. Personable, articulate, humble. Maybe just a step slow to excel at this level, but it would be great to see him get that waiver. Adds value beyond his skill set. Easy kid to root for.

Wished they'd try him on the Edge

I would not be against this. He seemed more suited to that coming out of HS as he played DE and TE. Not sure if he is strong and explosive enough, but If he gets another year, try to put 15 more lbs on him so he is 245 lbs. Then see what happens with him on the edge. God knows we need to add a lot more depth on the DL for 2026.
