I can think of at least three reasons for this.

First, the Messiah left for the pros. He had led them out of irrelvance into mediocrity.

Second, it must now becoming clear to them that they are stuck in C-USA II. No Big 10. No ACC. No Big 12.

Third, yet another basketball coach is poised to go down the tubes.
