Couscous don’t like meHow do you get a dislike for this post? For us to be successful this is absolutely true.
Joe attempted 150 3's and Kidary attempted 21. They had the same percentage. Joe was a better perimeter shooteri agreee with the general point you are making i.e. orange fans should root for Joe but I think you're underrating kadary's skills as a shooter/scorer.
he had the same % from 3 as joe last season and shot 10% higher from the field overall...45% to 35%
AND he had more assists/minute than Joe as well.
all that with a much shorter leash/more restrictions, imo ...
its a bit premature to say what kadary is or isn't imo.
kadary shot 45% overall and joe shot 35% overall...i am not sure kadary was even allowed to shoot 3s during a large stretch last year....so yeah...if you squint real hard you can kinda make the argument that joe was a good shooter last season...and better than kadary...but its not a slam dunk by any meansJoe attempted 150 3's and Kidary attempted 21. JB never told Kadary any such thing.I don't know of too many people who hated on Buddy the last 2 years.
He worked hard on his game. As a freshman, many thought he got playing time due to WHO
he was.
But JG3's case is different. No doubt having Covid slowed him down...shot selection was questioned...ALOT!
And then JB told Kadary Joe would be his starting PG for 21/22...K hit the portal. So there's pressure on JG as a result. As a point guard, he's got to have a strong handle, he's got to distribute the ball, he's got to penetrate and hit the floater, and hit the 3 when it's there...all this and 32 minutes a night. Big shoes to fill while the ghost of Richmond looms.
Obviously everyone sees his shot selection as a huge problem but his ball handling is CYO. When he's pressured he had to back his guy down from 3/4 court. That leads to time clock issues all the time. I was very vocal about the wrong guy playing all year. Crickets this year. I have no choice but to shut up. There isn't anyone to challenge him for time. So I will root for Joe and try not to yell at the TV all year. He is what he is and he will play 36 minutes a game.
If kadary shot a worse percentage from 12 feet closer I would be concerned. Kadary was not a good shooter. That doesn't he shouldn't have played more or wasn't someone I wish we still had.kadary shot 45% overall and joe shot 35% overall...i am not sure kadary was even allowed to shoot 3s during a large stretch last year...so yeah...if you squint real hard you can kinda make the argument that joe was a good shooter last season...and better than kadary...but its not a slam dunk by any means
joe needs to be better this season than last to justify the moves JB has made, imo.
WVU is a horrible example, they stopped him every time they pressured him and it would’ve cost us the game if Kadary didn’t come in.Freshman year he attacked his man head on more. He also did so in the NCAAs. If he can do it vs that kid from WVU he should be able to against anyone. We will see what happens.
I think he's capable but he has to prove it.
I hope someday you meet a women that you love as much as kadary. You deserve that.WVU is a horrible example, they stopped him every time they pressured him and it would’ve cost us the game if Kadary didn’t come in.
