Baby stepsUconn in msg next
Just haven’t had any luck yet thereWhy ugh? Either we are going to be good again or we aren't. Plus, the Nil money that comes with this tournament. Plus, I will, be going if we look like we have any type of team.
No. Almost beating Duke at least once a year.So is that the measuring stick for Gerry now? Beating Duke at least once a year.
Why?Ugh...
Wish we could avoid this potential circus.
Why?
Let’s go and kick their a$$
I wish the coaches got to schedule games, way more rivalries would be protectedHoping Gmac will schedule more old Big East foes in the non-conference.
Nova in Cuse and Philly. Providence in Boston is good. Need UConn or St. John's at MSG and we're in business.
We’re not losing to themSure.
But I don't want to lose to them, especially given the recent history. And I wouldn't want disgruntled fan second guessing, etc. if we stub our toe.
So I would prefer not to have an early match up with Hodgson. That's all.
I learned this season when they tried to game the NET and it didn't really matter because we weren't a good team overall and winning double digit points below expectations in pretty much every Q4 game in December. Why ugh? Either we are going to be good again or we aren't. Plus, the Nil money that comes with this tournament. Plus, I will, be going if we look like we have any type of team.
And if we lose, we lose. It's sports. You think GMAC gives two craps about the optics. NO way, it's on to the next one. It's freeing to spend less time worrying about what others think of your program and focus on getting better by challenging yourself. That's how championships are won.Sure.

I think a good amount of my usual crew will be in for Vegas this year. I'm 99% in.I'll be there again is my plan. It was so much fun. It would be more fun if I had my friends with me. I was alone, and didn't know anyone, but plelnty of fans to tak to all the time.
I was probably one of Hodgson biggest supporters on this board to Syracuse and it sucked that they couldn't work it out. Having said that, I'm over it, beyond over it. I think Hodgson will be successful at Providence as well and I'd book them for top 6 atleast in the Big East for as long as Hodgson is there. I've also accepted the situation for what it is. I always wanted Gerry to be the Head Coach at Syracuse someday. First, it was three years ago and while I think the timing now is even more crazy that he is directly succeeded the guy who got the job over him 3 years ago and is also apart of the 'family', this is where we are. I was willing to accept if it wasn't now, it may never happen. Even with it potentially have never been happening, in my gut, I thought in a decade from now that Gerry will be one of the best coaches in the country. So it brings me back to right now, I don't give a crap about how a game goes in November/December against Hodgson Providence team. I want us to win it badly though, just like every game, maybe this one even more given the smack online from the Providence burner accounts, but honestly its why this game is even more fun in the first place. Someone will leave happy and the other disappointed. We call that sports. The right guy, the guy that it should've always been the second Hopkins left campus, has the job now. The guy that is the most accomplished Syracuse Basketball player in its programs history. Revived a storied mid major program in Siena. I'll leave it at this, with Gerry, we are dealing with a legend and someone that is full of positive surprises. I'll enjoy the ride.Guys, I don't really need to be lectured on playing tough opponents.
I'm just saying that there is a divide in the fanbase over GMac's hiring. I wish we weren't playing against the coach that many wanted to hire more. If we lose, it will cause grousing [which I agree, isn't that big of a deal, but I would just like to see it avoided so that McNamara can get established without those unnecessary criticisms popping up]. And it is inevitable that there will be some of that, if we lose.
Or we can just beat them. Which would have the opposite effect. But of all the teams / coaches to have scheduled, I wish it wasn't PC and Hodgson. At least not this soon.
He doesn't play hard enough for either coachThe question is whether Donnie Freeman will be wearing one of these jerseys...
This is a solid take. I respect how hard you were pulling for BH. I can only hope I’d handle it this well if it broke the other way. Glad we are pulling in the same direction now.
