Because after this unless I see it again I just can't believe it happened. Seriously What how does that happen and what did it mean? Total total fluke with no meaning whatsoever, or are we closer than we may think to the hump? Really dont know.

I wish I got to watch from 9 to 11! Thank goodness this will be on ESPN 3 Replay for a lazy Sunday morning rewind.

-We showed a different D that we had all year

-They didn't take us seriously

-They are a finesse team and we were physical that day

-Shafer's Okie is a great matchup against WV's O

-We got to the QB consistently

I think Geno took us seriously, but I also think we seriously got in his head last year in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th Q. Much like we're stuck in the head of every Rutgers QB after the near crimes against Savage in 2009.

On offense that night, it seemed like we used things we didn't see much of before or after. Mostly TEs running wheel routes, using Kobena isna couple of offensive plays, that play action quick throw to the TE over the middle (although I do remember seeing that again at least once or twice in later games).

Lost a nailbiter to Louisville, had 500 yards against LSU (you have to go back to 2007 for that last time that happened to LSU) and had a total dud against us. Channeling my inner upperdecker here.. what are the odds that you schedule the eventual #1 team in OOC? pretty slim... SU was a huge upset, just killed them... Louisville could've gone their way. They weren't that far away from an epic season. Bad luck scheduling LSU, inexcusable loss to uss, tough nailbiter loss to LOU... all with a team that finished last year with 360 or fewer yards 3 of their last 4 games.

they gained 1259 more yards than last year

500 yards 5 times this year.

5 500 yard games ago for us was the BC game in 2001. 10 years ago. Wow. I can't believe that 2001 team had a game with 575 yards.

one thing marrone has going for him is that the offense is less feast famine. we have 5 games under 250 yards that year and 4 games over 420.

Same program that was a bizarre 13-9 loss to a losing Pitt from playing in a national title game against I believe an Ohio State team that really wasn't that good, and instead destroyed a very good Oklahoma team in the Fiesta Bowl. If upper was a WVU fan that year his head or computer might have exploded.

They are the classic woulda shoulda coulda program.
