Productive, yes… I’m not positive on talented. But he’s a STUD!Sean Tucker is the most talented SU offensive player since McNabb. I thought about that carefully and I know he’s very young, but I don’t think that’s an overstatement.

Agreed. God-given talent, Johnnie Morant and (pre-injury) Delone Carter come to mind as being a bit above Tucker (Mike Williams and Custis are also in the conversation), but no question as far as productivity is concerned.Productive, yes… I’m not positive on talented. But he’s a STUD!
Good call on Mike Williams. He’s very high up also. It’s a shame we didn’t get to enjoy his full abilities for longer.Agreed. Not an overstatement at all. I have been of this opinion since early this year. He’s special.Sean Tucker is the most talented SU offensive player since McNabb. I thought about that carefully and I know he’s very young, but I don’t think that’s an overstatement.

We have had great running backs, but they all had weaknesses. Reyes, Mungro and Carter didn’t have big-time breakaway speed the way Tucker does.
Not to pick on Dontae Strickland, but early in Dino's tenure I felt like he would hit the hole with the ferociousness of a puppy jumping on a pile of towels in a fabric softener commercial. Tucker is just the total opposite of that. He runs angry which is the best compliment you can give a running back. I can't believe we get a few more years of this guy (fingers crossed).
I'd actually say Reyes may have had just a sliver more. I think he may have had more top end speed.Sean Tucker is the most talented SU offensive player since McNabb. I thought about that carefully and I know he’s very young, but I don’t think that’s an overstatement.
I disagree on Reyes having less breakaway speed than Tucker. One reason he has the top two rushing TD seasons in SU history is because he wasn't caught from behind.Good call on Mike Williams. He’s very high up also. It’s a shame we didn’t get to enjoy his full abilities for longer.

I could be misremembering this and definitely won't be offended if anyone disagrees, but I always remember Reyes seeming super fast and nimble on the Dome turf but kind of slower and clunky on natural grass on the road.I disagree on Reyes having less breakaway speed than Tucker. I can't say I remember if there was a difference. I just remember him running against stacked boxes because we couldn't throw and everyone knew it (I believe that was around the time that a BC coach said they knew almost everything we were going to run before we ran it when they beat us one time). He would break a tackle at the LOS and was gone.I could be misremembering this and definitely won't be offended if anyone disagrees, but I always remember Reyes seeming super fast and nimble on the Dome turf but kind of slower and clunky on natural grass on the road.
