I like Townie. In PM’s you can tell he is playing a character somewhat and gets the other side. Even though he believes what he says. I am breaking the 4th wall with that but hopefully he is okay.

Not sure on that. BUT...it would have been "pin drop" quiet for extended periods of time. vs. Bryant??? YIKES!!!!
At least we can thank Gaawd they don't have a FB team that we'd have to play...lol

• Last year after 1 game it was pretty clear that JG3 was the best point on the team. This year after 1 game, JG3 looked like Carey and Goodine did last year... and that’s not a good thing
• If JG3 is going to play that poorly on offense he needs to do much much more on D and getting other players involved
• Buddy is Buddy... great shot, limited athleticism. Great complementary player, being asked to do too much
• Griffin looks like a good player... this year’s candidate for the will play 40+ minutes a game. Unfortunatley I don’t think he is as good as the other iso-forwards we have had, including Hughes. Is it just me or does he start his 3 point shot from a low release point? Wonder if he we will get packaged against better competition?
• Quincy looks like the same player as last year... but with a worse FT stroke
• The team will be as good or as bad as Marek. JB finally designed the offense completely around Marek. Hopefully, Marek is up for it
• How is it that a program of Syracuse‘s caliber has gone 4 years in a row now where the best back up center is Marek? Seriously?
• This is essentially the same team as last year except we don’t have Hughes to take the pressure off every one else. On the nights when threes are falling we will blow people out of the gym.
• Once again, we have no quickness and no one who can penetrate a D. If the motion is not working we are going to struggle to create anything
• The D is horrendous right now and I fear for our interior D against legit teams. The guards are too slow to keep anyone in front of them and we lack size without Sidibe
• For like seemingly the 10th year in a row... our players don’t look much improved over last year. Maybe a function of recruiting players with limited upside?
• Not sure what all the Kadary stuff is about... he looked okay. But he also got the ball stripped from behind on a fast break. He didn’t look all that explosive too me either.

It’s been mostly overlooked (with the focus on JG3’s performance and Kadary’s minutes), but we just witnessed the fastest game that SU has played since 2007.
