Has Florida lost it's best player for

I assume you're referring to Erik Murphy. He suffered a knee injury a few weeks ago. It turns out the injury is not as severe as first feared and he should be back soon. He's expected to miss tomorrow's game.

He started games earlier this year and is a solid contributor at the very least. Perhaps some people think he's Florida's best player, but I wouldn't say that.

Nahhhh ...Murphyis notnear the best player ... just the Center. He averaged only 4 r/g. But he is one of Florida's few bigs. By far the better big guy is Patric Young 7.7 r/g and 25 m/g. Expect to see Will Yequette replacing him at 6'9 but averaging 6.8 r/g and 18.8 m/g. Once past them they have no bigs left on the bench. Florida plays with 3 guards.

Bad day Skan??? Just what I read man. Yes Young 7.7 reb per game-Murphy-4. But Murphy at 6' 10" is also 57.1% from 3 pt land-Young 0%. Ave. pts. per game Young 10.2/gm-Murphy 10/gm. In the Ohio State game Murphy was 5-6 and 4 of 4 in threes and 14 points. Obviously these 2 are different players in ability. Murphy is more of an outside player and Young a banger-but whatever dear.

Eric Murphy is 6'10" and can shoot a 3, the 4 games he played in he was hitting 57% of his 3's albeit only 4 games. The game I watched him in against OSU I thought he was their best player, when he was out they looked lost. As a few posters correctly pointed out, UF's best players are their guards. But I will say when Murphy went out(with injury) against OSU they lost their lead, by time he came back in OSU had already given the knockout blow. I remember that game very well, had a few bucks on it. But that was also the first week of the season. To be honest I don't know what the hell to expect. A typical Villanova type team?

Wow ... must've been a bad day!! Didn't even look at the 3-pt stats. A Center that can shoot 3's ... whoda thunk? Well that's 1 less 3 pt shooter.

I believe Erik Murphy is the son of former BC center Jay Murphy, and a player who was recruited at least briefly by Syracuse. He is going to be a special player...it is a shame we don't get a chance to see him play tonight.

you are correct he is, there was early interest from SU with erik, but cooled down after awhile..he is also the brother of duke freshman alex murphy who enrolled early

Murphy was the only one who gave us trouble in the past IIRC, so its a plus either way

Last night I saw some analysis on the game on ESPN and they definately remind me of a Nova team. The guy who scares me the most is Beal, hes their stud freshman. Cant wait to see Fab vs Young.
