a schoolie yet?Other than Deferral Davis a few years back he really only has taken offensive lineman.

You can definitely tell that he prefers defensive juco's over offensive ones by a large margin.

He's got to feel that it must take a few years to learn his offense.Sorry Zach, but take a seat.

Depending on how you qualify skilled positions (assuming only backs & receivers). Chris Clark is the only one I can think of.

There has been no need to recruit a JUCO QB over the last few years because of Nassib, it would have just been a wasted scholly. The thing with JUCOs is that you really just want guys physically able to compete for a position right away to fill holes in the roster. So if you're short on linemen (either side) or most any other defensive position, they can come in and be ready to play right away. Most HS players can't do that.

While not a JUCO, Funderburke may as well be one.

I don't think he has needed to take skill position JUCO's because the cupboard has been rather full at those positions during his tenure.

Not a lot, but SU did offer Mark Thomas, WR, Nassau CC, who chose Kansas; and in his first season, Marrone courted Rod Streater, Alfred St, who chose Temple (not sure there was an offer). The pattern, though, has been to add size and toughness via the JUCO route. Marrone was very lucky that Nassib was durable (hardly missed a snap in 3 years); a JUCO qb would have been a good back-up plan, but it proved not to be needed.
