For a man with a plan i get the feeling that Doug is looking for a new one. This spring has been all about experimentation. The positive to this is Iron Doug seems willing to change his approach to our O, D, and Specials. The negative is that in year four of his Plan when our O, D, and Specials should be working on refining and perfecting what they have been doing for the last four years we are busy experimenting, busy trying to find a solution. Like walls we can only wish that the Bunker could speak.

You can't get enough of the "bunker" "Dougers" "Dougie" or binder references, as if somehow your posts will enlighten us or generate some new conversation. We get it.

He went 5-7, we get it. People who don't like Marrone should write checks and ask for him to be removed, big checks. We all know SU has the coffers and the resoruces to attract a top level coach and pay 2.5 mil a year

Sorry that you're bored, kc, but your throwing around personal invective is getting tiresome. Are you really upset that Doug is implementing something new, or are you just upset that he didn't consult you first?

Where in Syracuse is Syr a cuse football. Kind of a Carmen Sandiego theme. Educational and fun.

IB i actually wrote this one for you. Lighten up it is all for fun im on record that i dont care if he closes spring practice. With a lack of news coming out im trying to add a little zest to this board. My gut tells me he is really feeling the pressure and not dealing with it very well. Running away from the fans and the press isnt going to help anything in the long run. If in fact he is making radical changes on O and D it will only provide him with any strategic advantage for the first game. As to the long term im also on record that if he wins 6 he gets and extension. A good 5 he gets his last year. Anything worse than 5 wins and he may be let go depending on other factors.

A handful of people standing arounda chain linked fence isn't running away from the fans.

Marrone would have to do something beyond absurd to lose his job. SU isn't a place for a revolving door for coaches.

Typical.

The guy gets ridiculed for having a plan going in and managing to it. He gets ridiculed for modifiying it and going off script as circumstances require. He gets ridiculed for talking too much and being too open, he gets ridiculed for playing it close to the vest.

Is every school like this, or do Syracuse fans simply have a fetish for being so divided on their coaches? Not that Doug Marrone is anywhere in the same coaching stratosphere as Jim Boeheim, but I am beginning to feel that with both coaches, it doesn't matter what they do. No matter what, one faction will praise them and one faction will crucify them.

It's almost as if you're there everyday at practice!!

Marrone is just doing his version of The Junction Boys or Remember the Titian's. Umm...ha ha...Umm ha ha.

you need a gut check because you are dead wrong.

If everyone opened a thread to talk about their "gut feelings," this place would be as trashy as syracuse.com.
