In the same boat. A bigs coach like AO would've done wonders for William Kyle's offensive game this year in terms of positioning and low post moves. Also, it's got to be preferable for a center prospect to know they'll be coached by an actual big, especially one as skilled as AO.

People thought William Kyle was bad has short memories lol. I remember the 6ot game that Arinze hit two free throws in regulation and got a standing ovation lol. They panned to Gerry in the crowd actually lol.

Best young coach since Brad Stevens. He’ll win a title at Cuse within his first 5 years.

Brad Stevens is only 7 years older than Gerry, and he was 34 when they beat us in 2010.

He also in my opinion has proven that he is one of the best basketball minds of this generation - I think Gmac will be fine but I wouldn't call him young or on par with Stevens (at least not yet).

My wife says I'm a cheapskate, though I prefer to think of myself as "thrifty".
If GMac gets the gig I'm sending money, pronto. Why?
Because my "hope" for SU bball will be restored- and to quote Andy Dufresne from Shawshank: "Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies".
I also believe that most, if not all but the most cynical, jaded, and/or delusional SU fans feel the same way, that we'll rally around our new AD, and our old native son, as he returns to take the reins.
In my own personal heart of hearts, I just think it's meant to be...and I'm not alone. LGO
