I think Alex Smith makes more sense for the Jags. With their defense, they need a guy who places a premium on protecting the ball. Smith is also younger, and probably better. He has a ceiling on how good he can be, but i'm really not sure how good Eli is now anyway

How can we judge? Marshall and obj were out much of the year, SS seemingly never played at 100%. And the giants oline/run game was awful.

I agree.

I also want the Giants to keep Eli, draft Darnold (if he's available; I've beaten this to death) and let Eli help 1) get us back to the playoffs and 2) make the transition with a new coach easier.

Cousins isn’t worth the money.
He is good but not worth making one of the highest paid players in the league.
Smith will have a market in Arizona, Buffalo, Jacksonville,Denver all in the market for QBs.

Eli has the postseason success though.

I would usually agree, but Darnold is very young. I think another year of Eli isn't terrible. He's also good with the NYC media, which I think would help insulate the new QB and new coach.

If anything, I think the age makes it more of a thing, he needs the reps. (Man, he is kinda young, wont turn 21 till June)

but if you’d take him at 4 or someone else would at 2 or 3...and u don’t care which QB you get, u remove all doubt, get the RB, thus denying everyone else a shot, then u get back in QB pool.

What if the Giants think Webb is better than all them and are set wiTh Eli for a year and take Barkley at 2? Then the browns are flucked.

The browns have a unique situation this year, this is how id play it.

Take the RB off the board and then let the draft start with you picking 3...
