He gone...

We do realize MOST guys who go PRO early never sniff the NBA right? The real question about Buddy is will he come back for his free 5th year with a team that should be stacked...I'm betting yes!

As his father mentioned in the presser after the San Diego State game Buddy has made himself into a player, that he always was a shooter, but now is the hardest worker on the team - stays after practice to shoot works overtime on weights, I'll bet he's working on his handle every chance he gets and with Gerry who was in his ear saying"if you miss 200 keep shooting."

IMO Buddy keeps on doing the work, making himself into an even better player than his father could have imagined and by the time his free fifth year arrives Buddy WILL be in the top 10 on the board. I don't think he's going anywhere until he makes himself into a true high first round draft choice or close to it AND JB will watch it all happen as his coach.

I’ll take 1000 if he’s 10-15.
As gaudy as his scoring numbers have been lately, i have a hard time imagining him in the NBA. But, hey, stranger things have happened.

A similar situation is that of Luka Garza. I don't watch 'other' college Bball, so i was shocked when i knew that Garza was a Player of the Year candidate/favorite, yet was listed down near #45 or so in mock drafts.

I've thought the entire time Buddy would get a shot as a 3 point specialist when he showed up with the height and it was clear he'd have 4-5 years to fill out.

Not sure if he'll stick but he will play an NBA game at some point.

Yeah, but like some team that knows what they're doing like the Spurs or Raptors or someone like that will pick him up in the second round and he'll vastly outplay his draft slot and contract.

Yeah. He’s a right guy, right place player.

If any other player we have, or have had the last decade, was doing what buddy was doing in the tourney as an underclassman, we would be assured "he gone"...

Only this time...he ain't gone...

Buddy's gonna pull a heel turn at the Facebook live basket-ball. Hit dad with a chair then proclaim he's going pro.

If Klay can’t get healthy, Buddy will just take his spot and be the new Splash Brother. Kindve like when Crush took Ax’s place in Demolition.
Hope Buddy wouldn't have to work that hard to get the gig.
Demolition was working as a three-member team.
(That was cheating if you ask me).
It took an appeal all the way to WWF President Jack Tunney to force them to work as a pair...Crush and Smash.

Would be nice if NCAA had half the guts Jack Tunney did when it comes to dealing with cheating from Will Wade and Sean Miller.

He has the good size for a guard, he has the range, he has the quick release (crucial in the NBA), his handle is actually more passable than I would have expected after his earlier time here. If you are going to be a complete liability in 1 v 1 defense then you have to have that stuff both in spades and consistently. It feels like an Andrew White situation, but White was more consistent over the course of an entire season than Buddy has been this year. Basically if this Buddy we have seen at the end of the season/in the tourney just continues to be how he plays, then he certainly has a shot. As others have mentioned, Duncan Robinson comes to mind. Even a poor mans version of Duncan Robinson would see some time. Heck there are full on stars who are complete liabilities on defense.

As a Miami heat fan and watching a lot of Duncan Robinson, I think that is roughly what buddy could be in the NBA. A sharpshooter who’s average athletically and can play decent but not great D, but just completely opens up the offense and makes the opposing team have to be aware of him at all times which frees up the stars to have more room.
