No way that UCLA team would have beat us. We could have beaten all the teams left in the field at that point.

Come on, Pete, don't be crazy. UCLA went 32-1 that year. If we caught the right breaks could we have beat them in a 1-game scenario? Absolutely. But to say there's no way they could have beat us just doesn't make sense.
 
So the kid asks to transfer b/c of family issues (maybe that's the real reason, maybe not..) and Floyd won't let him...

Am I missing something, or is the way the situation is unfolding is that now this kid will have to play for Floyd next year?! Isn't that gonna be, um, a little bit awkward?
