Women's Rowing Head of the Charles [Cambridge, MA]: Sun Oct 23

Syracuse's varsity eight and second varsity eight will kick off the 2022 fall season at the Head of the Charles on Sunday, October 23. The regatta, which began in 1965, is held on the Charles River in Cambridge, Mass. Both of Syracuse's boats will compete in the Women's Championship Eight event, which begins at 2:11 pm.

The Orange varsity eight will race in 'No Brakes' with bow #6. It will start behind the Penn varsity eight and ahead of the Brown second varsity eight. The 'Cuse second varsity eight will race the 'Connie' with bow #25, starting behind the Columbia varsity eight and ahead of the Navy varsity eight.

On of my proudest moments for my daughter. She rowed at Geneseo, which was club. The car she was riding in on the way to the Head of the Charles broke down. At age 20, she had the wherewithal to rent a Ryder van, which she drove into Boston, through the tunnel, to get to the course on time.
Didn't really have to worry about her much after that.
