GO TO THE GAME!!

If you are a local season ticket holder...GO TO THE GAME!! If you are using all your tickets, still talk a friend(s) into going with you. Be the driver. Tell them about the cheap seats. Offer to buy them a beer.

If you are a local season ticket holder and have 1-2 extras...BRING A FRIEND(s). Don't take the tickets with you to the Dome trying to sell them, those people looking for tix are already there and will be going to the game anyways. BRING A FRIEND. Don't charge them. Offer to drive. Do dinner first on the hill...GO TO THE GAME!!

If you are a local non-season ticket holder...GO TO THE GAME!! Talk to some friends and make an evening of it. Bring your kids, there's no school the next day. Buy the cheap seats if you need to. But if you go to the game, talk at least 1 friend into going with you.

If you are a non-local fan within driving distance...GO TO THE GAME!! Find a friend that is also a fan in your area and have them go with you. Share driving expenses, bring the kids, bring the spouse, take the afternoon off and come early for dinner and/or drinks. But most of all...GO TO THE GAME!!

If you are an alum within a reasonable distance...GO TO THE GAME!! If you were thinking about going to just one game sometime this season, go to this one. Take the day off or 1/2 the day. If you are in an area with other SU alums or fans, like NYC or Albany or Philly, etc, try to carpool. I'll even tack your post if you are trying to find others to drive with you or need a ride.

If you are a student...GO TO THE GAME!! Classes are over, happy hour is over...show up tipsy and be loud, be crazy. Talk other students into going. Get your frat/sorority to go as a group. Your dorm hall, the club you are in, etc...GO TO THE GAME!!

We fans say this game is huge for the team, for the season, for the program. Lets do our part.

Spread the word...GO TO THE GAME!!

Be loud, be proud...GO TO THE GAME!!

And stay!! :)

Give all the unsold tickets away starting this Wednesday. They'll make up make a large portion of the difference in parking and concessions.

I don't even care if they take a bath on it. The price of admission should reflect the product on the field, and free tickets is probably still too expensive.

:)

In that vein, I'm looking for riders or a ride up from northern Virginia. I'm going to make the drive either way but would prefer to share some time with SU fans while enroute. I live in the Shenandoah Valley near the intersection of I-81 and I-66.

To add, 3-0 Minnesota sold $10 tickets in order to fill their stadium. A 3-0 team!!! What do you think would be a fair price to fill the Dome for a 1-3 team?

Amen. The sting of Saturday has worn off and I can't wait for next Friday. It's now conference season and we are 0-0.

AMEN TO THAT BEES!

Another suggestion to get more folks going - set up a tailgate and invite a bunch of people. They will have a great time, and then as Bees said: GO TO THE GAME. Food and Beer will get people to your tailgate and then they can just follow from there. Had one for SB and managed to get 30+ extra people from work to show up - will have it set up again next week.

Let's GO ORANGE!

I am there.

(BTW, for those who say give away the tickets, SU will make it up in concessions, etc., it does not work that way. Different budget centers and stakeholders yada yada...)

But it wasn't over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, so dammit, I am headed up.

Unfortunately the attendance won't be good. Can't wait for all the student ticket threads Saturday morning (sarcasm).

It can be free or it can be silver, either way they aren't making money on the tickets.

I bought 11 additional seats for family coming to town to celebrate my moms 80th birthday. Even got 11 additional tickets for Orange Club tailgate. I'm tired of losing to Pitt and BE teams. Something good has to happen to get us out of the rut we're in.

The only thing you forgot was[ stand up , cheer as loud as you can, and stay until the end]. Lets help the team win one.

And this really paid dividends for them. They had an extra 5-6 thousand fans who otherwise wouldn't have attended. And the crowd was definitely a factor on Saturday.

FWIW, seeing what it took for Minnesota to get 50K should put our crowds into perspective. We're talking about a state school located in a city with a metro-area population of 3.5 million people. They were playing on a Saturday night in mid-September in a relatively new stadium, and yet had to resort to steeply discounting tickets to fill the place.

Granted they're coming off a couple of bad years, but they also play in the B1G and are guaranteed at least a relatively attractive home schedule every year.

I hate when people compare our crowds to the monster schools of the SEC or Big Ten. Comparisons should be made to schools like Minnesota. And we don't look nearly as bad compared to them.

If I can get off work/work remotely Friday, I'll be up there Thursday night.

This is probably the last chance for a decent crowd at the Dome this year, unless they go on a crazy winning streak.

And stop jingling your damn keys on third down. Yell instead.

Are you really a fan? Serious question!

Boy, what a difference a win over NW would have made in the perception of the fans around here. Smith, pick up the damn lateral, kick a punt out of bounds, etc. A 2-2 team would have had people believing around here. 1 game difference and the sky is falling. Boy, fickle group. I'll be at the game and I'm looking forward to it.
