Hmmm

It is possible that if he wants to cut someone he waits until after signing day. Still a lot of moving parts on the coaching landscape.

I have no way to know for sure, but if HCSS wanted to fire someone, it would seem best to do it asap, so that the guy has a chance to get his next job before all the vacancies are filled. The last game of the season was 12/27. Waiting until 2/6 seems like a dick move. Unless the guy has already been fired and is pursuing other jobs and the firing won't be made public until a later date.

Have to think HCSS will be looking for someone who can utilize their connections in NY/NJ/LI.

Add: Perhaps even someone with experience coaching WRs, with existing connections in NY/NJ/LI, who also previously played at Northern Illinois?

Nice call...
Thanks. It's hard enough for a coaching staff to recruit, but it's harder when they're recruiting with one less able recruiter. I by no means think he's a bad coach, but he's more cutout for the NFL than NCAA.

I'm thinking that SU can now hire another dynamic recruiter which Moore just wasn't. Seemed to be great coach but definelty more of an NFL guy.

I can't wait until Marrone names Daoust defensive coordinator next year!

Totally agree. Recruiting is so important that it has to taken very seriously if you want to compete today. Would be great to hire a coach that has some connections closer to home imo. We seem to have some solid recruiters in the south and Midwest.
