????? maybe I missed the sarcasm? Kent State lost to Saint Francis of Pennsylvania and gave up 65 points in the first half to Tennessee.

Pittsburgh plays Youngstown State, and a vulnerable North Carolina team and Cal at home before Cuse. They could easily be 5-1 when we play. If they beat North Carolina, they will likely be 6-0. From what I’ve seen of them, their quarterback is good at seeing the field and throws a nice ball, but against everyone they’ve played their receivers have not been challenged. I like our chances here. Except it’s away.

Their schedule is awful, once they get deep into ACC play they will crash back to earth. I could throw for 300 yards against UNC & Kent State … you think McCord only throws for 130 against Cal?

I think he is pretty good and will be very good for Pitt in the next few years.

However, Pittsburgh put up an insane 650 yards against Youngstown State..

Then, the average defensive rankings of the teams they played before today in FBS was 103rd!!! (McCord putting up better numbers vs 55th averaged defenses for comparison). They were feasting on cupcakes until today.

Today they played the first real defense they played all year and Holstein was not good

our defense is ranked right next to California’s. (But, They lead ACC in turnover margin)

Today was the best possible outcome. Pitt wins and stays ranked, but is exposed as a team that we can beat without anything special, just a solid performance

I think Pitt is pretty good better than some here do obviously. They will be favored by a touchdown most likely. Their offense will give us problems. They also have a great field goal kicker if the game is close.

Their kicker is amazing. There are multiple NFL teams who would love to have him right now.
