Hopkins got a great defense, but Staudt isn't going to get them to the championship game based on his play.

Man, earlier this year the offense was getting looks and just not converting. Today it's just been a mess. Any chance we can hope for some halftime adjustments?

Too much reliance on Hiltz and that junior class. They don’t have an offensive player aside from Hottle that looks prime to contribute amongst the Sophomore and Freshman classes

A lot left on the bone from the offense. I can handle pipe shots but not the sloppy play. Losing the possession battle in a major way as it is. Can’t have the dumb turnovers. Spallina has to be better.

Pace of play definitely favors the Blue Jays so far. Not a good sign for the Orange that despite their typical fast start first halves, they were held to 5. If ever there was a time to change the narrative around their sloppy second halves, this game would be it.

The careless, nonchalant-ness has gotten old. Too many long, loopy passes of their back foot. Step into your passes to get the ball moving quicker. The Deere unnecessary btb & English looping a pass to X right into a JHU pole’s stick were terrible. English also holds the ball too long on dodges & tries to swim multiple defenders.

There was plenty of good as well but this team is just too loose on offense. It comes from the HC. I’m all for free-wielding & loose but you have also value the ball.

The Dwan pass to Spallina for our first goal that they keep showing was a great play but was the product of being selfish & trying to dodge for Instagram instead of taking the wide open shot. Love Dwan but he’s lucky that worked out.

Let’s come out & change our 2nd half collapse narrative. Hopkins has been the tougher team & gotten 75% of the 50-50 GBs. Change that!

What's playing out is exactly what I noted in your preview post. Cuse more overall talent, Hopkins way more disciplined and buttoned up. Syracuse with the same dumb penalties and decisions that's haunted Gait teams since he took over. Wildhack has to put him on notice.

Agree on Leo to, he must have a half dozen missed looks this year on time and room looks he has to bury.

I blame a lot of our offensive struggles on the fact that we are small and slow. No one can win a dodging matchup to get the defense moving. And on the off chance someone does beat their man, it’s usually from behind X and they come up and take a god awful no angle shot. Garbage.
