Unless K. Jones collapses (figuratively) POY is his, and deservedly so.if Dion wins conference player of the year, but somebody else wins Sixth Man of the Year?

Yes, because he is carrying a team on his back that has far less pieces than ours. Besides, as someone has said, he's a senior and that would be a tie breaker IF you needed one.If wvu goes 8-8 in the big east and we go 16-2 or 17-1 (or 18--0) would he really deserve it over dion?
They have given the benefit to seniors in the past. The most egregious, in my opinion, was SR Troy Bell over FR Melo in 2003.Besides, as someone has said, he's a senior and that would be a tie breaker IF you needed one.

To make it worse, Bell had also won the award as a Soph.
Also ridiculous--ND has had more winners (5) than SU (4).

I think Melo's year was just as good (22/10), plus SU was 3 games better than BC. And, Bell had already won the award once.Bell put up 25+ ppg that season, and, iirc, had a long string of 30+ games.
The benchmark for Waiters should be Jeff Green's 2007 season.
Russ Smith is in the conversation especially if Louisville improves towards the end of the season as they usually do.
20.4 MPG, 11.4 PPG, 2 APG, 2.3 SPG.
Are you making a joke, or did you just mix up David West and TJ Ford? Not as bad as David West over Melo for National player of the year
