Addendum to this. Michigan was also on 3 times last year.Gameday was at games involving Ohio State the following dates last year:
September 15 - @ TCU
September 29 - @ Ped State
November 24 - vs. Michigan
If Game Day came to Syracuse could they the pull off the Mission Impossible and get Tom Cruise to be the celebrity picker flying in on that private jet? I would also enjoying seeing the GOAT.
Was stuck in traffic today so I thought about how I would organize the College Gameday show if (not jinxing anything) it was in Syracuse. Here are the segments I would have:
1. Sportscaster segment -- get Bob Costas, Marv Albert, Dick Stockton, Sean McDonough, Mike Tirico and just have them sit and tell their favorite anecdotes about going to SU. All five of those guys are awesome storytellers and this could go on in an entertaining fashion for 15 minutes.
2. 1959 team segment -- I'm not sure how many of these guys are still alive, but I think it would be great to do a feature on this season and have them reminisce about this championship, and how it impacted their lives.
3. Celebrity segment -- Vanessa Williams, Taye Diggs, etc. talk about their favorite football memories.
4. Basketball team / football team interactions -- get the most charismatic basketball people like DC, Billy Owens, Boeheim, Dave Bing, McNabb also, etc. and have them talk about their favorite memories attending SU football games back in the day.
5. Tom Rinaldi segment where everyone cries at the end -- the life and times of Ernie Davis. Bring some of his family members on the show and have them talk about him.
This is great if we want to impress old white guys.
To take advantage of something like Gameday, you need younger/cooler people. Post Malone, Chainsmokers, dare I say Justin Bieber...people under 35 that resonate with a younger audience.

One of the more memorable gamedays was Katy Perry at Ole Miss.
Chainsmokers have been on before though. Post Malone would be great.
The only issue is the fact that he kicks off his fall tour that day in Tacoma, Washington.
Tom Rinaldi is not welcome on campus anymore. Was stuck in traffic today so I thought about how I would organize the College Gameday show if (not jinxing anything) it was in Syracuse. Here are the segments I would have:

I’d be ok with Katy Perry at our game day. Really okOne of the more memorable gamedays was Katy Perry at Ole Miss.

She could lead the team into the Dome:I’d be ok with Katy Perry at our game day. Really ok
He and Schwartz camped out at the University trying to kill Boeheim and the program.I'm drawing a blank -- why am I supposed to hate him forever again?
...Gameday is going to be in Clemson for Aug 29th against GT
Are you suggesting Dick Stockton is not young and cool?
I want to see Konrad wrestle a shark and Delone Carter in a dunk tank.
There are definitely people that can fill the gap.
