How in the hell is Louisville not closer to top 4

Lville is probably better than Clemson. As good on defense, much more dynamic on offense.

The ACC is Clemson and Lville, and then a pile of teams in the middle, VT, FSU, Miami, UNC, NCSt, Pitt, I think SU is verging on entering the group in the middle, they will definitely be there next year.

Next step is to separate form BC, UVA, Wake, Duke, GT.

I have a lot of respect for Bronco Mendenhall as a coach. I think they join us in our rise in the ACC.

Hey Washington haters, it's only the 1st quarter but it's 11:31 and they're up 21-6...you can go to bed now! Remember to turn back your clocks;)

No shame in losing in Starkville even if in a 'down' year for Miss St. SEC still is tough. I think Arkansas has played great all season but they are 6-3. We would lose by 30 in Starkville, IMO.

I don't. The SEC is Alabama, unrealized potential in LSU and everyone else.

It's largely irrelevant what we'd do.

I think Louisville curb stomps Miss St.

Yikes, Cal coming back. Fun half of football.

For those of you who haven't seen Washington this year, imagine coach Peterson's Boise teams with a bunch more talent. Always some fun wrinkles for the offense.

They are fun to watch, they aren't on tv much, I was going to try to stay up and watch them some tonight, but I am beat, that loss took a lot out of me today.

Could be re: Louisville but I think that team is pretty special, regardless. All these games are matchups. A team like Arkansas with those monster OL would run it down our throats and then hit us with play action. It would be a fallacy to think otherwise.

I think the big question regarding the playoff committee is, If Michigan loses to Ohio st, do they still get in?

Washington destroyed Cal and will win the PAC, with the A&M loss, they will move into #4 with OSU 5 and Lamar at #6.

All of the possible playoff teams were trying to impress the committee today.

Watching the ticker, we were just one of many victims.

54-0 (our game)
59-3 (Michigan over Maryland)
62-3 (Ohio State over Nebraska)
66-27 (Washington over Cal)
52-7 (Louisville over BC)

Misery loves company I guess. But I bet when you watch us play next week, you'll have no clue the Clemson game even happened.

I don't think comparing these teams by guessing what they'd do vs us is helpful.

I will say Dino loves when teams have that particular game plan. Much easier to stop.

Even yesterday where we got beat in almost every phase, Franklin and Bennett looked good vs the run.

If Washington does make it in. They'll likely be #4 facing #1 Bama.

Sorry, but I think UW will get ROCKED.

Louisville and Ohio State could both beat Bama and would probably, at the very least, not get blown out.

Somebody convince me how UW, who's toughest games will be against Utah, WSU and USC, is going to keep it close against Bama. That's equivalent to putting UW in the ACC Coastal and they don't have to play Clemson or Louisville.

Nobody can beat Alabama except Michigan or Clemson. Ohio State is too young and Washington\Louisville OLs will get DESTROYED against the Alabama DL.
Louisville's OL got destroyed by Clemson DL and the Bama DL is miles better and Clemson has an elite DL.

Bama is in now even if they lost a game.

Clemson has the best defensive line in CFB. Bama close second. Louisville still almost won that game on the road. Lamar Jackson is the equalizer and their defense is also big time.

Louisville was pretty close to winning (3 yards) due to Jackson. He's the X factor that even Alabama's D might struggle with.

Um no John Allen is nasty and by far the best DL in the nation. Look at what the Bama DL did to Leonard Fournette. Clemson lost a lot from their DL last year. It is not loaded like it was last year.
Clemson has a good DL It isn't better than Bama'd individual best player or Bama'd DL depth. They can rotate 7 guys and not lose anything. Clemson is nowhere that close to that level of depth.

If Dungey is out next week and/or the season I'm not gonna be forgetting about Clemson.

You're the only person in CFB who will say Bama's defensive line is undoubtedly better than Clemson's.

Do you know why Bama is able to shut down Fournette? Their QB is Danny Etling who makes Austin Wilson look like a Heisman candidate. Bama didn't have to worry about LSU's passing game at all.

Clemson dominated the first half and made some mistakes in the 2nd half. Watson was mediocre in that game. Alabama's DL would destroy Jackson and they have the athletic LBs to spy him.

Bama houses Louisville and Washington.

Clemson/Michigan have the Ds to be competitive. Louisville is beating teams with Jackson being faster than their LBs against Bama that won't happen.

You're being crazy right now. Alabama's Front 7 is very very good but now you're saying that Lamar Jackson can't outrun Bama Linebackers?

Lamar Jackson would be contained against Bama because the biggest weakness on Louisville's team is its OL. Jackson covers that up because they don't play teams with good DLs so Jackson masks it. It was exposed against Clemson and Saban is the best coach in CFB. They would house Lousiville.

Well, hopefully we get to find out instead of the inevitable destruction of UW.

I think we can agree that 95% of the country would rather see Bama vs the Heisman than Bama vs Washington.

Sorry, but I think UW will get ROCKED.

I think Urban Meyer might be the only one who can solve Saban, but I think Washington gives them a game. Chris Peterson's teams are always ready for the big game, and I think they're pretty good.

We'll know a lot more about Washington if they run the table. USC is really on a roll right now, and they head to Seattle this weekend. Then they go to Pullman for the Apple Cup. Leach has done his typical lose to FCS and then kick things into gear. Underdog often wins that game. If they survive that, they probably get a rejuvenated Colorado team.

They'll belong at the dance if they get through it.
